Informatics Shines in Collegiate Badminton

The Informatics Badminton Team made an outstanding showing at the 2010 badminton competition of the National Athletic Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (NAASCU). The NAASCU, composed of 12 colleges and universities, is currently on its 9th season.
Informatics International College dominated the recently concluded badminton division, garnering the following awards: champion, men’s singles; champion, men’s doubles; 2nd place, mixed doubles; and 4th place, ladies doubles. “We’re very proud of our students,” says Informatics VP Stephen Bañares. “I’m happy to see that they are not just excelling in academics, but also in sports.” The Informatics badminton team is composed of the following members: Paul Kaiser “PK” dela Cruz, Prince John Sidney de Jesus, Carleans Rivas, and Derlyn Llena. PK dela Cruz was last season’s men’s singles champion, while this season’s title was won by Prince de Jesus. The team is coached by Ramil Billones.
